The SPCA Fall Fair is sometime in October and I said that I would try to get a few things knit to give to them for the sale. Here's the first item - a garter stitch scarf. Nice, easy knitting. It's made with Patons Shetland Chunky Tweed that was left over from a sweater last winter. I think perhaps I'll do a matching hat. Ellen thinks the scarf is lovely and warm especially since it was only 12-13 degrees C here today. Ellen would much rather the warmer weather of the past week or so.
Speaking of warm weather, a family member went to San Francisco this past weekend and spotted a fella that she thought Ellen would appreciate, as well as 2 of Ellen's old friends: Missy and Rachel. While Ellen does think the man is very handsome and well tanned, she really does love it here in Newfoundland and has already noted that she's not interested in long distance relationships (or moving). She has her own apartment here and simply loves it! We understand that the man also loves his place of residence and job. She was delighted to see Missy and Rachel working at a job they both love - modelling bags. Sweet!
