Falling Leaves Already, Ellen!

The hurricane we had a few weeks ago really took the good out of a lot of the leaves in this area of Newfoundland and some have fallen already. We did have some rain over the weekend and that seems to have rejuvenated the trees a little. Hopefully we will get some colour before all the leaves fall!

In the meantime, I thought it would be a good time to showcase the Falling Leaves Scarf and Fingerless Gloves pattern that I recently completed. And, Angela agreed to model the scarf and gloves for me when we went to Cape Spear for a look around last week. As you know, I love visiting Cape Spear and with visitors in town, it was just the right excuse to take another trip out there.

Ellen stayed home to keep an eye out for that blue jay (which we haven't seen since!), plus it was much too windy for her at Cape Spear that day anyway.

The Scarf and Fingerless Gloves are knit using Artyarns Regal Silk - 100% silk and feels like it belongs next to the skin. If this scarf and gloves were sitting next to you on a table, you'd find yourself absent-mindedly petting it. Yes, it's that nice!

If you are interested in the scarf and fingerless gloves pattern, you can buy it here.

We explored all of Cape Spear and took dozens of pictures.  Here's a few!

Fallen leaves.  :-(

Some leaves still hangin' on.

Seeing Angela and Blair live in Vancouver, we had to get a picture next to this sign!
