Back to Cruisin', Ellen!

Last week I began telling you about the holiday we had where we went on a cruise and went to Jeff and Laura's wedding, but then an iceberg showed up in Ferryland! Now we can go back to the cruise for this post, then we'll go back to knitting. I have a couple of projects in the works to show you.

After St. Thomas, the ship docked at Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. John and I didn't do any on shore excursions. We just explored the city. Very interesting place! The coloured houses reminded me of St. John's, but the houses in Puerto Rico have more balconies than the houses here. We met a few interesting creatures too! Old San Juan has a lot of forts and high walls that protected them from invaders in days gone by.

The last stop on the cruise was Grand Turk.  We explored a little, but then went back to the ship to the Serenity Deck (very top of ship) to read and enjoy some quiet time.

Next post Ellen will be joining us again after her very restful vacation.
